Hospital Policies

Mill Bay Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing exceptional care to all our patients. Due to the high demand for appointments, when a client cancels without giving advance notice, they prevent another patient from being seen. For this reason, we have a No-Show Policy for all appointments scheduled at our hospital.

If you must cancel your appointment, we request a call or email at least 24 hours (1 business day) before your pet’s appointment. This allows us to accommodate other patients who may need prompt medical care.

Late Cancellations

If a client cancels their appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $50 fee may be applied to their account.
If a client is more than 10 minutes late, the appointment will need to be rescheduled.

No-Shows

If a client does not show up for an appointment and reasonable effort has not been made to provide notice, a penalty of up to the full exam fees + taxes may be applied to the client’s account.

Repeated no-shows, late arrivals, and last-minute cancellations affect our ability to provide timely service to all our clients. These incidents will be documented and remain on the client’s account for a period of time up to 2 years from the date of the incident.
